<image:title>About - Hi! I’m Noël (they / them) LPC | Oregon | C5807 identities: queer, trans, neurodivergent, chronically ill, white</image:title>
<image:caption>It is my calling to create transformative healing relationships in which I collaborate with you in finding your path toward whole being. I believe that we are all naturally connected and wired to connect, and that profound healing happens in relationships. When you experience trauma, whether one large traumatic incident or smaller incidents over time, relationships with self and others can become strained and it can feel challenging to connect. In this you are not alone.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Emotions are not something to be cured, they are something to be felt, held, and heard.</image:title>
<image:caption>When we are not given models or examples for how to safely feel our emotions, either in the micro-culture of family of origin or in larger systems and structures, then it is understandable to feel uncomfortable with emotion, even scared. Many clients come to me in their suffering or discomfort asking for me to help them ‘stop feeling’ a certain way - anxious, sad, angry, ‘emotional.’ As difficult as the task may be, I ask you to slowly warm to the idea that you don’t need to be cured of your emotional states. Instead, to reconnect with yourself in ways that help you to re-establish, or establish, safety in the brave act of fully feeling.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>An introduction to more of my personal lens, the lived experiences and identities that have shaped me and informed my interaction with the world, and the world’s interactions with me: I grew up in poverty in very rural central Virginia unceeded Monocan land. Because of the nature of where I grew up I can still trip on the concepts of what makes a town, a city, or a county. I was born into a family that, like many, was not well resourced and passed trauma from generation to generation though it was not their intention. As such I am no contact with some member of said family and lean into my chosen family. For a decade in my 20’s I lived in Chicago, IL unceeded Myaamia and Peoria land. There I studied art, wobbled in the path of finding my own legs in the world, and through such exploration discover my need and then passion for mental health counseling. I have now lived in Portland, OR unceeded Chinook land since 2020, where I now grow my roots in community and my connection with nature. My queer and trans social and medical transition has been slow and iterative. In childhood and adolescence I was taught implicitly and explicitly how it was bad to be queer. In my 20’s I journeyed through recognizing/naming this internalized belief system and deconstructing it. Not reaching this current iteration until 2023, who knows what’s next. In more recent years I have accepted and celebrated myself as a neurodivergent human, which has allowed a greater ease in my relationship to myself and others. When not working or otherwise finding ways to help my larger community, I love hanging out with my chosen family and all of our collective dogs, fiber crafting, baking yummy things, and being outside. Currently also enjoying learning ASL at PCC, and recommend their community education offerings for those interested in learning something new! I live a slow lifestyle, much by my body and brain’s demand, and prefer a gentle hike and a cozy nest to the other draws of city life. A nice nap and a good snack are never overlooked in my house.</image:caption>

<image:title>Investments - Notice to clients and prospective clients: Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.</image:title>
