It is normal to have questions and even be uneasy about entering into therapy. This is a new relationship, and often one you are seeking with a desire for it to help something to feel different in your life.
Whether you have been in therapy before, or this is your first time, Welcome. I hope to answer some of your questions here.

Behind the scenes of Noël Quigley LPC, LLC is just one person - Noël (no-ehl)! I am backed by my loved ones and community at large. But I do all the business business here.
As a neurodivergent and chronically physically ill person, I try to be as up front as possible that all good things happen in time. In this fast-paced, capitalistic, scarcity set, white supremecist world - I strive to reject these teachings and ask that we take it at the speed required by the task and with the capacity available at the moment.
Expect longer wait times for emails, highlight questions you want responses to, and let me know directly if there is a time constraint in mind.
That said, this might not work for you! And that is okay. There are many other therapists who are faster within their business models. Not better or worse, more right or more wrong. Just different and maybe better for you. -
My approach to counseling is rooted firstly in organicity. Organicity refers to “the inherent, self-organizing wisdom, intelligence, and adaptive capacity present in all living systems. Often described as an internal, natural, or organic unfolding. It emphasizes trusting this inner process, rather than relying solely on external, rational intervention.”
To illustrate, I like the metaphor of the gardener. As a gardener, I may plant seeds and create the conditions in which they can grow to their fullest potential. Yet the seed already has all the wisdom of how to grow into the plant it is to become and I follow its lead along the way.
As a gardener, so as a therapist. -
I have background with an array of client populations. However, at the moment I specialize in the crossroads of the queer, trans, neurodivergent, and chronically ill populations.
I work with adults 25 years +, most of whom are queer and/or trans and many of whom already know they have experienced childhood trauma that impacts their life in the present day.

Send along an inquiry! There are buttons all around this website that will provide a form for you to fill out inquiring about a free 20m consultation. This form will be sent directly to my inbox and I usually get back with in one - two business days.
From there we can set up a 20m virtual consultation where we will chat about what you are looking for in therapy, I will tell you more about my approach to therapy / what therapy looks like with me, and you can ask any questions you have!
We will either decide in the consultation if we feel it is a good fit, or take some time to let the experience bloom. It is also okay if you are taking multiple consults at this time! Feel free to let me know how much time you might need to make a decision. If we decide to move forward we will talk or email logistics - frequency of sessions, setting the fee per session if you are taking sliding scale, discussing insurance if you go that route, and I will tell you what to expect next as far as paper work and an email with our link to sessions goes.
All of your paperwork will be completed online through a secure portal and submitted to me directly. I ask that your paperwork is completed before our first session, and if it is not we will reschedule so you have time to fill it out and I have time to review it.You are welcome and invited to ask any questions or voice any concerns you have along the way! Collaboration from start to finish.

I am privileged enough to be in community with other therapists and healers who have built their practices from values similar to my own. Meaning, it isn’t what makes me different from all others, but similar to the ones that I choose and maybe similar to you that is important here.
I routinely check in and clarify my values, ensure that I am rooted in them in praxis, and filter my continued education through the lens of the values I hold at my foundation.
Organicity.
Non-violence.
Social Justice.
Liberation.
Curiosity.
This is what guides me. Does it guide you, too? -
you can! I may or may not respond.
If you NEED a response in a set time frame before our next session, I am not the entity to contact. You can find more information on who might be more appropriate either under ‘Resources’ here or in my email signature.
Folks contact me between sessions with questions, concerns, life updates, venting into something other than the void, and some other reasons I cannot think of at the moment. I am clear that I read everything that comes through my email. I just do not always have the capacity to respond. Please, please indicate if you are hoping for a response and I do my very best to make that happen <3 -
intake: verbally going over paperwork I sent you ahead of session (to be completed before we can meet) for any questions or reactions you had to the paperwork, any questions I have from what you included in your initial forms, and more talking from me regarding informed consent to treatment. in the intake there is generally more talking from me and they go a bit faster than other sessions, we try to get in more history and understanding of your goals so that we can chart our course for the rest of our time together!
following sessions: generally slower, collaborative, incorporating somatic (body-based) practices, psychoeducation (learning about what I am thinking and using in our time together, and about yourself through a different lens), practicing new ways of interacting with yourself / Parts / body / emotions / memories / etc, co-regulation with me / pets / plants / etc, and talking through things as we go. some sessions with some folks will have more talking, some sessions with some folks will have very little.
i expect the fullest story of who you are, how you got here, and where you are going to slowly unfold during our time together. and we get to join as wayfinders on the journey together.
